Chers lecteurs canadiens, j’ai le plaisir de vous annoncer que les Soirées de Poche s’exportent, puisque la première Pocket Party aura lieu ce samedi, le 6 mars, dans la belle ville de Montréal.

[Les gagnants ont été prévenus par mail, merci de votre participation !]

Une soirée 100% canadienne, puisque les groupes invités viennent tous les 3 de Toronto :

Luxury Pond, a.k.a. Dan Goldman, dont le premier album tout en cordes fragiles a charmé Chryde.

Alex Lukashevsky, génial songwriter acompagné par des choeurs féminins et dont la musique sonne comme « Charlie Mingus with a classical guitar and thoughtful tornado energy » m’a soufflé Dan.

Thom Gill, que vous avez peut-être déjà applaudi sur scène, puisqu’il est le guitariste d’Owen Pallett. ll jouera samedi en formation complète, avec 4 autres musiciens.

 Comment assister à cette Pocket Party #1 ?

Fidèle aux Soirées de poche parisiennes, nous investirons l’appartement d’un gentil lecteur, donc les places seront limitées. Pour avoir une chance d’être tiré au sort, il faut envoyer un mail à nora [at] blogotheque [point] net, en précisant si vous jouez pour une ou deux places.

Vous aurez jusqu’à jeudi minuit (heure de Montréal, bien sûr) pour vous inscrire. Les gagnants seront prévenus par mail et recevront l’adresse du show le jour-même — sachez que cela se passera sur le Plateau.

 Combien ça coûte ?

L’entrée est payante, sur le principe du don libre, à remettre le soir même. Ce don sera intégralement reversé aux artistes.

Dear Canadian readers, I am pleased to announce that the Soirées de Poche are no longer a French privilege, since the first Pocket Party will be held this Saturday, March 6, in the beautiful city of Montreal.

A 100% Canadian evening, since all the bands that will be playing come from Toronto :

Luxury Pond, aka Dan Goldman, whose first album of fragile strings charmed Chryde.

Alex Lukashevsky, a great songwriter accompanied by female choir and whose music sounds like « Charlie Mingus with a classical guitar and thoughtful energy tornado » as Dan put it.

Thom Gill, you may already have applauded him on stage, since he’s Owen Pallett’s guitarist. On Saturday, he will play with 4 other musicians.

 How to attend this Pocket Party #1 ?

Just like the Parisian Soirées de poche, this show will be held in the apartment of a very kind reader, so there won’t be room for more than 60 people. All you have to do is send an email to nora [at] blogotheque [point] net, starting now, until Thursday at midnight.

Don’t forget to mention if you’re playing for 1 or 2 invitations ! Winners will be then selected randomly, noticed by email, and they’ll get directions on Saturday morning. (Just so you know, it will be on the Plateau.)

 How much is the entrance fee ?

The show is not free, but donation is at your discretion, and you’ll be asked for it at the entrance. All of it will then be given to the artists.
